Is Batemans Bay A Good Spot For Fishing?

The Eurobodalla area has many great fishing spots within its network of beaches, lakes, estuaries, rivers and coastal inlets. Known as Australia’s ‘Oyster Coast’, the region’s estuary and rivers are famous for abundant fishing and oysters. Here you can cast a fishing line by the beach, in a kayak or by boat.

Is There An Airport In Batemans Bay?

There sure is! You can fly directly into Mourya which is located about 20mins drive from Batemans Bay town centre. You can use the taxi services to make the short trip or rent a car from the hire services available at the airport. This is a great way to explore the Eurobodalla region at your own pace. Regional Express (REX) operates regular direct flights between Sydney and Moruya. For other major Australian cities, connect via Sydney for travel into Moruya.  Regional Express offers daily flights to Moruya Airport from Sydney. Flights from Melbourne (via Merimbula) operate Monday to Saturday. 
 
You can also fly into Canberra Airport which is approx. 2hrs drive to Batemans Bay town Centre. 

 Can I Travel By Bus Or Coach?

South Coast 
 
Rixon’s Bus Services offer a door-to-door personal service from the Eurobodalla to Canberra on a regular day to day basis. They are ideal for airport drop-offs, medical appointments, work trips or just a day of shopping in the city. They welcome international travellers using the international airport at Canberra and will drop off at many coastal locations between Milton and Narooma. Alternatively, Murray’s Australia offers daily coach departures between Canberra and Eurobodalla.   
 
Melbourne & Sydney  
 
Premier Motor Service offers daily services between Melbourne and Cairns. Priors Scenic Express offer a quick and scenic trip to the Eurobodalla Coast from Sydney via the Southern Highlands and Kangaroo Valley, which includes a half-hour sightseeing stop at Fitzroy Falls.

There is also a rail /coach service between Melbourne and Batemans Bay operated by V-Line.

Priors Scenic Express offer a quick and scenic trip to the Eurobodalla Coast from Sydney via the Southern Highlands and Kangaroo Valley – includes half hour sightseeing stop at Fitzroy Falls. Broulee Surf School is the original NSW South Coast Surf School. Learn to surf lessons at North Broulee Beach between Batemans Bay and Moruya on the Eurobodalla Nature Coast. CLYDE RIVER BBQ CRUISES

Book an afternoon cruise on the MV Merinda, enjoy famous fresh and local delicacies whilst discovering the wonders of the Clyde River. Leaving the Boatshed daily and travelling to Nelligen for a short stopover, visit local historical sites including the site where the notorious Clarke Brothers were held when waiting for shipment to Sydney.
