Long Beach is one of those South Coast spots the locals try to keep quiet about. It is 10 minutes south of Batemans Bay but feels a world away. The beach out back rarely has more than a handful of people on it, even in peak summer.
Nearby: Batemans Bay Marina and boat hire (10 min). Mogo Zoo and Mogo village antique/craft strip (15 min). Murramurang National Park walking trails (20 min). South Durras and Pebbly Beach where kangaroos sit on the sand (25 min). Whale watching season runs June to November, often visible from the deck.
